Steelers release J.J. Wilcox

The Steelers picked two safeties during the draft and their arrival has pushed a veteran defensive back out the door in Pittsburgh.

The team announced that they released safety J.J. Wilcox Baseball Jerseys Wholesale on Monday.

Wilcox, who was acquired in a trade with the Buccaneers last year, was due a non-guaranteed salary of $3.125 million and his departure leaves $625,000 in dead money on the cap. Wilcox had 12 tackles and an interception in 12 games for the Steelers last season.

Tarvarius Moore, S, Southern Mississippi: The Niners extended Jaquiski Tartt earlier Friday, so Moore may be coming for Jimmie Ward’s job.

Harrison Phillips, DT, Stanford: His 42 reps on the bench made him the 2018 combine champ for all positions. At 6-4, 307 pounds, he’ll plug right into the middle of Buffalo’s four-man front and could ultimately be a worthy successor to veteran Kyle Williams. Harrison’s wrestling background — he was a three-time Nebraska state champion in high school — and non-stop effort (103 tackles last year) will serve him well. He graduated from Stanford in 3½ years with a double major and is already on the board of a non-profit organization.

The Bengals drafted one linebacker last weekend, third-rounder Malik Jefferson.

M.J. Stewart, CB, North Carolina: A stout, physical presence, much needed for a secondary that contributed significantly to the NFL’s worst pass defense in 2017. Stewart should eventually replace aging Brent Grimes.

Jessie Bates, S, Wake Forest: He’ll add needed range to Cincinnati’s secondary, which could use more of that after relying on the safety combo of Shawn Williams Cheap NFL Jerseys Paypal and George Iloka.

Donte Jackson, CB, LSU: Carolina was in desperate need of reinforcements at corner. Jackson has exceptional speed (4.32 40), but at 5-11 and 178 pounds, how is he going to handle super-sized NFC South receivers like Julio Jones, Michael Thomas and Mike Evans?

Duke Dawson, CB, Florida: Clearly a need here after New England’s ugly divorce from Malcolm Butler. Dawson will likely making a living in the slot between starting CBs Stephon Gilmore and newly acquired Jason McCourty. Hello, Danny Amendola.

Injury didn’t hinder Ragnow’s draft stock, conviction

Halfway through his senior season at Arkansas, Frank Ragnow was the model of durability.

He had started 33 consecutive games — 13 at right guard as a sophomore in 2015, 12 at center and one at right guard in his junior season of 2016 and the first seven games of 2017 as the Razorbacks’ center. Ragnow was not only one of the best interior lineman in the country, he was tough.

He was a guy that was pretty clean through the process, Quinn said. He’s coming back from an injury that he missed the second half of the season with an ankle. Other than the injury, he was a real, clean prospect that I didn’t really feel like we needed to do a whole lot of extra work on in terms of visit here or private workout or any of those things.

Ragnow’s injury required a minor procedure, but by the time the Combine and pro day at Arkansas rolled around, Ragnow was 100 percent.

The rehab process honestly went way smoother than I expected, he said. It was a very routine surgery that back in the day wasn’t even necessary, but it just really made sure that my ankle was good for the long run. And now, to be honest, it’s a normal ankle. I feel great and it’s been a couple months since I’ve even had any problems with it. It’s a normal ankle.

He earned first-team all-conference honors and decided to forgo his senior year to enter the draft. ANALYSIS Jones, who dealt with a nagging hamstring injury throughout the pre-draft process, is an explosive athlete who accelerates to and through the hole.

I’ve talked to a lot of teams over the last couple of weeks and that just adds to the excitement. We just have coaches and scouts call my agents, Robert Walker and Josh Adams from Unlimited Success Sports.

Okorafor, affectionately nicknamed Chukes, won’t turn 21 until August. He is expected to be the third WMU offensive linemen picked in the past three years with Willie Beavers (Southfield Lathrup) going to Minnesota (fourth round, 2016) and Taylor Moton (Okemos) to Carolina (second round) last season.

Okorafor — 6-foot-6 and 320 pounds — will watch the draft with his parents and friends in Southfield. He feels he could hear his name on Friday as a possible second- or third-round pick.

I worked out for the Lions in Allen Park and the Cheap European Soccer Jerseys Texans watched me in Kalamazoo, Okorafor said. I also went Cheap Green Bay Packers Jerseys to Philadelphia and (Washington), too.

Jay Cutler Reportedly Expected to Retire from NFL at Age 34

After teasing retirement last year before playing the 2017 season with the Miami Dolphins, quarterback Jay Cutler has reportedly decided Cheap Baseball Jerseys China to retire from the NFL at the age of 34.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Cutler’s decision to walk away from the game after 12 seasons.

A first-round pick by the Denver Broncos in 2006, Cutler announced his retirement in May 2017 and was set to join Fox Sports as part of the No. 2 broadcast group as part of a team with Kevin Burkhardt and Charles Davis.

Cutler sounded comfortable with his decision to walk away Cheap Cycling Jerseys from the game at the time.

I’m happy with where I am, you know, in my life and really in the future going forward, Cutler told WMVP-AM’s The Waddle and Silvy Show (via NFL.com’s Kevin Patra). So, yeah, we can go ahead and say it. It’s permanent.

Thoughts: This is the only projection that had Smith sliding to the Lions. Most mocks have the Georgia linebacker coming off the board in the first 10 picks. If he’s there for the Lions, yeah, you jump at the opportunity to add the rangy, hard-hitter. Plug him in at the weakside next to Jarrad Davis and you have two linebackers who don’t have to leave the field.

Mike Shanahan, who was Denver’s head coach when it drafted Cutler in 2006, felt one of the quarterback’s biggest problems during his time in Chicago was a lack of stability with offensive coordinators, via ESPN.com’s Jeff Dickerson:

All I can go by is what he did with me in Denver, and how he played and how he handled himself—and you just say,’Holy cow!’ and you are kind of surprised it didn’t work out for whatever reasons. The obvious one is the turnover in coordinators. You are learning a different scheme and a different terminology every time. That is tough on any quarterback.

There were some good moments for Cutler throughout his career. In 2010, he led the Bears to the NFC Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers before a knee injury knocked him out in the third quarter.

Cutler was always an enigma who was more interesting in theory than execution. His arm talent made him a starting quarterback for more than a decade, but he was never able to evolve into more than someone with a strong arm.

NBA trade rumors: Knicks’ Kristaps Porzingis for Spurs’ Kawhi Leonard?

Get ready for some Kawhi Leonard  drama this summer–with the Knicks  potentially involved.

As the San Antonio Spurs and Leonard appear to be heading toward a divorce, every team in the NBA with assets will likely be calling to attempt to trade for Leonard. This, despite a lost year due to injury, questions about commitment and a strange back-and-forth between a great player and great team.

While the Knicks have smaller fish to fry ( hiring a coach ), could a trade offer land Leonard in New York this summer? Frank Isola of the Daily News  thinks so–with the injured Kristaps Porzingis  being used as trade bait.

Two, Holtby was obviously stellar in net, but he needed the defense in front of him to help him out. This year Holtby has been more susceptible to shots from the center of the zone, and he would need his top defense pairs, Michal Kempny-Carlson and Dmitry Orlov-Matt Niskanen, to shut down those vulnerable lanes. Three, they kept up their power-play success while not taking penalties. Washington leads all teams with a 33.3 percent rate on the power play, while having the most chances, and didn’t commit penalties of their own. It was a struggle, but anything is possible.

With 19 selections prior to the Eagles’ first pick tonight, and about 10-12 players left on the board that have been linked to the Eagles as a potential pick at No. 32 overall, Roseman very well might trying to trade up again. An early run on running backs could be the trigger to make Roseman trade up.

If Roseman does try to move up, how high can he get?

Using the NFL Draft value chart, the No. 52 overall pick is with 380 points. The team’s two fourth-round picks — No. 125 and No. 130 — are worth a combined 89 points. Their lone fifth-round pick (No. 169) is worth 23 points. That gives the Eagles, excluding their sixth-and-seventh round picks, a total of 492 points to play with on Friday night.

If the Eagles were willing to deal all of those picks, they could get as high as No. 41 overall in a deal with the Oakland Raiders. It is possible Basketball Jerseys Custom a team take less than the value of the pick, but if they want fair value, No. 41 overall seems to be the ceiling for the Eagles Buy Cheap Jerseys on Friday night.
